Name the event you are purchasing
A web inquiry usually gives your team contact details and a project request to follow up. A connected call puts a conversation into a receiving queue. A booked appointment places a proposed visit on a calendar. A held appointment means the visit took place under the program’s definition. None of those events should share one unlabeled count in the buying report.
Write the billable event beside the product name. A booking can be billed when a time is reserved, after confirmation or after a visit is held, depending on the agreement. Ask what happens if the homeowner cancels, reschedules or is outside the approved territory. The product label alone does not settle the charge.
Account for the work after delivery
| Product | Buyer work to define |
|---|---|
| Web inquiry | Contact attempts, project qualification and scheduling |
| Connected call | Queue coverage, handoff context and sales ownership |
| Booked appointment | Confirmation, branch assignment and visit preparation |
| Held appointment | Visit criteria, sales follow-up and outcome reporting |
Ask which qualification questions are completed before handoff. A phone call that verifies the person’s name is different from one that confirms the project, property and appointment availability. Request the actual field definitions and the script or checklist used for the approved program, with any necessary review by your own team.
Check what happens when the receiving team is busy
For a call program, agree on operating hours, receiving numbers and the behavior when nobody answers. Establish who owns a failed transfer and how the event appears in billing. Your platform may support several routing methods; boberdoo, for example, documents distinct live-transfer approaches. Confirm the one being proposed rather than assuming all call products behave the same way.
Run an approved test through the receiving queue before launch. Confirm that the person answering receives the project context and knows the next step. Keep the caller’s experience in the review: a successful connection to a general voicemail box may not meet the agreed product definition.

Define a usable appointment
For a home visit, specify the service address, branch, project scope, scheduled time and timezone. Record whether the homeowner confirmed the visit and which scheduling changes the vendor may make. A national brand also needs to know which team owns the calendar when territories overlap.
Keep booked, confirmed, rescheduled, canceled and held as separate events. If the buyer changes the date, preserve the original appointment ID and link the update. Without that history, a report can count one opportunity as several bookings or treat a moved visit as a lost one.
Compare at the stage your team needs
Use your own pilot data to compare the spend and labor needed to reach the same stage. A web-lead program and an appointment program can be compared at held visits if both use the same definition and observation period. Keep contact-center work and other excluded costs visible beside the calculation.
Adsora’s published home-services offer is exclusive leads. If you want calls, appointments or another commercial arrangement, describe that requirement in your buying brief and confirm the actual scope with the team before treating it as available.
